SOFAE!

Senior Olympic Fitness Awareness Events are coming along beautifully. So far Farmington and Laguna have successfully put on high quality events that have been very educational. Evaluations have been extremely positive. The mix of Health Screening, Health Education, Sport Instruction and a Fitness Activity appears to be just the right recipe for a great time. Over 200 participants and volunteers so far have enjoyed refreshments, a free healthy lunch, hand outs from exhibitors, door prizes and a free red, white, and blue Health and Fitness T-shirt for taking part in multiple activities. Among the the activities seniors enjoyed were massage therapy, chair exercise, water aerobics, and racewalk instruction. Health care professionals provided free screening for high blood pressure, diabetes, hearing, and vision. The special highlight in the health education portion was the cooking class!
