he
Shuffleboard event had over 300 competitors at the 2002 State Games. That is
almost as many as the National Tournament! It was a 3-day, labor-intensive
event; difficult to coordinate and run. Due to the increase in competitors, the
necessity for better record keeping has become critical. A small group of
volunteers have organized with the goal of obtaining portable, laptop computers
on behalf of New Mexico Senior Olympics. The laptops will accommodate the
increased demand.
New Mexico Senior Olympics needs your help to identify and
enlist the assistance of an advisor; someone who is associated with a computer
company and will guide the volunteer in acquiring this sponsorship. We are
looking for:
1) Any Senior Olympian or family member who has contact with a
computer company that would be willing to sponsor Senior Olympic laptop
computers.
2) Contacts and /or addresses for manufacturers of laptop
computers.
3) NMSO would prefer a single sponsor. Sponsorship would include
all current benefits and advertising/sponsor privileges.
