STATE GAMES COUNT DOWN
Are You Ready?

It’s that time again! Twenty five years—can you believe it! Wow, we are going to have a great time. Here are some important things to remember:

Event Confirmation Letters:
Do You Have Yours?

You should have your Confirmation letter by now —have you read it carefully? Is it correct? Look at your date of birth, events, souvenirs—call your coordinator if you see a problem. Try to get it fixed before you get to the Games. By the way, always bring your confirmation letters with you to the games! Don’t loose them, please!

Calling All Volunteers!

Have you received your assignments for the games? Watch for your invitation to the Volunteer Social. We need over 300 volunteers and everyone is welcome. However—If you did not register by July 11th with Aurora Ybarra we may not have a t-shirt or an invitation for you. Make sure she has your sign up form!! Call Aurora for more information: 528-3000 or the State Office 623-5777 in Roswell, Las Cruces 496-2336.

Opening Ceremonies

Bring your Spirit and wear your Local T-Shirts.

Line up will begin at 6:30 for the parade of athletes. We will be recognizing special people from that last 25 years. Do you know someone who attended the first Annual Games in 1979? Call or write to us and help us invite them to Opening Ceremonies.

Garcia Hall Dormitories

If you are staying in the dorms, bring extra wash cloths—they are the only item that NMSU does not provide. There will be a door sign on the window of your room to welcome you. Feel free to keep it as a souvenir. This also applies to the room key card your receive when you check in. Check in is 10 am to 10 pm. Volunteers will be available on Tuesday and Wednesday to help with luggage.

Sport Tables

Be sure you check for changes and get all the details you need. They will have brackets, times, maps and more!

Welcome / Information Tables

Volunteers will be able to assist you at the Welcome Table. They will have maps, phone numbers, and a copy of all the individual sports and the athletes registered in each sport.

All athletes will have name badges this year; they can be picked up on Level II in Corbett Center along with your Opening Ceremonies Door Prize Ticket and Welcome Bag. This year a special commemorative pin will be given to each athlete with your name badge and Welcome Bag.
