Race for the Cure
N
ew Mexico Senior Olympics was pleased to participate in the “Fourth Annual Race for the Cure.” Over 4000 entries were expected this year. New Mexico Senior Olympics sponsored twenty entries. Norma Houston-Pyeatt, Sharon Jenson, and Ceci Acosta recruited seventeen other women to participate in this annual fundraiser for Breast Cancer Research. In Norma’s group they were Joan Blair, Debra Yoshimura, Den Michael, Marcelia Samuelson, and Tony Garcia. In Sharon’s Group they were Petra Shepherd, Sadie Herrer, Lena Montoya, Audrey Laskowski, Chang Ching Lee, Virginia Tung, Jean Yardley, and Julia Stone. Ceci brought Elizabeth Chavez and Carmen Chavez.
