Cecilia Acosta was named Outstanding Professional at the New Mexico Conference on Aging recently at the Sandia Resort and Conference Center. Everyone knows Cecilia as Ceci Acosta. Ceci was presented the Professional award on Wednesday, August 27, 2008 before the 1200 conference attendees during the morning Plenary Session where the Former Major League Baseball Player, Hall of Fame Catcher – “Johnny Bench – shared his life story and his Joint Replacement experience”. His celebrity status and his motivational tips were very entertaining by all the conference attendees.

The Conference on Aging is an opportunity for seniors and the professionals who work with them to come to learn and have fun in an environment of support for senior independence and dignity.
