To register in your local area, call the Walk New Mexico Coordinator and request a Walk New Mexico booklet and liability waiver. Read the booklet, it lists all the incentive gifts available when you send your miles to NMSO, sign the waiver and return it to your coordinator. THEN just take off walking, keeping track of your time and/or miles and when you have completed a milestone, send the progress form to the NMSO office and wait for your first gift. Your coordinator will give you a list of scheduled walks and you may also walk on your own or with a friend daily or weekly to qualify for the incentives.
